RBL Associates is a specialist search and selection firm operating in the technology sector across Europe, the Middle East and Africa which focuses on sales team roles.
What we did for them
We were tasked by our client to generate new leads using an e-book they had developed. We advised our client that the most effective way to attract interest from their desired audience – hiring managers in the technology sector – would be to develop a lead generation strategy utilising paid LinkedIn ads.
To ensure that this was a success we:
Targeted specific job titles in the sector
Initially we were enlisted to raise the profile of the flagship management programme (the Executive Global Masters in Management) of the Department of Management in business education and management media globally, over the past three years BlueSky has considerably expanded its remit with LSE, working to create awareness and enhance the reputation of the Department through its programmes, faculty expertise and successful student community in key markets around the world.
Aside from writing press releases and handling media enquiries, BlueSky works with LSE faculty to understand their respective research focuses, constructs and refines editorial ideas and proactively sources media
BlueSky Education worked with the Saїd Business School at the University of Oxford to increase the Saїd Business School’s international visibility in its own right, as the University of Oxford is already an established name throughout the world, and drive student recruitment in key international markets such as Western Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America.
BlueSky leveraged faculty expertise, research, new programme information and the student experience to achieve this. We were also given responsibility to line up media for the dean and senior faculty to meet in locations such as India, Korea, China, South Africa, Switzerland and Germany.
We were appointed by UCL School of Management when the Department of Management Science and Innovation was rebranded and relocated to Canary Wharf on a separate campus from the main university, to promote UCL School of Management in its own right. During which time they have hired a separate Dean to manage the facility.
Initially working on a six month project to audit and promote the UCL School of Management’s research, we selected five of the best research papers on key topics such as gender issues and management styles, and wrote press releases for these, resulting in significant coverage.
We were selected out of numerous PR firms to build and manage credibility and brand awareness for one of the world’s next great universities, Université Paris-Saclay – a collaboration of institutions who joined together, following a €9bn investment from the French government, in order to compete on an international platform – when the university was merely a concept. We took its aim to become one of the top 10 universities in the world, and shaped it into a strategy to bring all activities across the different institutions together to promote Université Paris-Saclay to an international market as a potential global
Founded in 1993, Antal International is a professional and management recruiter with over 120 offices in more than 30 countries around the world. Because of its global footprint, it needed to build an equally global PR strategy, which would provide support to all of its operations, but was daunted by fees in excess of £300,000 per annum estimated by a number of large PR firms it spoke to.
What we did
BlueSky advised the Antal board that the most cost-effective way to meet their objectives would be to create and provide support to a ‘DIY’ delivery system which would

BlueSky engaged with one of Rethink’s energy experts and spoke with him at length to uncover some of the more problematic positions to recruit for.
From our discussions it became apparent that the role of process safety engineer was both critical to the running of a successful energy extraction project and also worryingly uncommon in the oil and gas market. Despite the position being absolutely crucial, there were very few experts available in the sector meaning firms had to pay significantly over the odds

What we did for them
One of the major problems facing the construction industry is the lack of skilled professionals in the current market. One Way, while continuing to successfully resource projects because of its robust yet agile model, had noted the increasing challenge of finding enough workers to meet the demand driven by the need for new housing and major infrastructure developments.

With operations in the UK, Germany, Singapore and Australia, the trade body has a wide range of audiences and stakeholders which calls for a robust yet flexible communications strategy in order to both promote planned initiatives and react in a timely fashion to economic and legislative developments.

What we did
Although a&dc had developed a very strong client base and had completed some very impressive work in its field, the company was struggling to raise brand awareness more widely across the HR and general management community. While paid advertising had brought some limited success, the company wished to experiment with the use of PR to tackle the challenge and turned to BlueSky to plan and execute a tailored communications strategy.

Berkley Group produces a bi-annual survey that looks at employment and market perceptions internationally, the challenge was to get the information out to the public as quickly as possible and increase the likelihood of press coverage.
Working from the planned release date, the team implemented a strict timeframe for all activity and carried out thorough research to ensure that any major events which could potentially lessen the impact of Berkley’s
VMA Executive, the global search arm of a leading PR recruiter with an international reach. With offices in Europe and APAC and a partnership in the US, the company has gone from strength to strength as it continues its global expansion.
What we did
VMA produces a biennial report on the corporate communications landscape. This ‘Business Leaders in Communications Survey’ provides insight from senior level professionals across Europe. While the company had a direct marketing campaign planned for the distribution of the survey, it was keen to develop a partnership with one of the top PR or communications publications
