BlueSky PR October 2018 Highlights

October was all treats and no tricks for the BlueSky PR team. We achieved over 130 pieces of quality coverage for our clients across the recruitment, HR and talent management sectors. Here are some of the month’s highlights.

We secured three Contractor UK opportunities for 6CATS International – with CEO Michelle Reilly providing her expertise for two “Contractors’ Questions’” features on Romania and Sri Lanka, whilst chairman Graham Palfrey-Smith discussed three potential Brexit scenarios which could impact contractors operating within the EU. Reilly also shared the company’s latest contractor data in an exclusive article for the Global Recruiter.

October was also a busy month for Alexander Mann Solutions’ global head of technology and talent strategy consulting Erica Titchener. She discussed why recruiters need to adopt real-time candidate feedback in an article for the Global Recruiter and also provided further insights on the subject for the publication’s cover story. Finally, Titchener also shared her views on what the launch of LinkedIn’s new Talent Insights tool could mean for HR professionals in Personnel Today.

Reaction from the Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo) which welcomed the chancellor Philip Hammond’s decision to delay the controversial roll-out of off-payroll rules into the private sector was featured by a number of recruitment titles including Recruiter and Recruitment International. Whilst the news that APSCo’s chief executive Ann Swain had been awarded ‘Best Leadership of an Association’ at the 2018 Association Excellence Awards was covered by publications including Business Matters, Onrec and Recruitment Grapevine.

Juliet Eccleston, co-founder of peer-to-peer recommendation platform, AnyGood? discussed why recruiters must do more to change the public’s perception of them in a thought-piece for the Global Recruiter. Whilst a round up of the key debates stemming from the platform’s Trust In Recruitment event were covered by Employer News and the print edition of Recruiter magazine.
