BlueSky PR June 2018 Highlights

Despite June’s scorching temperatures, the BlueSky PR team managed to keep cool enough to deliver quality coverage for our clients across the recruitment, HR and talent management sectors. Here are just some of the month’s highlights.

June was particularly busy for Remedium Partners. The medical recruitment firm’s co-founder David Green discussed the impact of the tier 2 visa cap on NHS trusts in the British Medical Journal, whilst reaction to the Home Office’s decision to lift the caps from co-founder Philip Braham appeared in titles such as the HR Director, Staffing Industry Analysts and Employer News. The founders also spoke to the Global Recruiter about why they set up the agency for the title’s ‘up close’ feature.

Data from international contractor solutions provider 6CATS International which revealed a 73% increase in freelance professionals working in Egypt appeared in Egyptian publications Cairo Scene and Almal News. 6CATS CEO Michelle Reilly discussed the possible visa implications for UK contractors post-Brexit in Contractor UK and its sister title Freelance UK. Michelle was also the subject of an in-depth ‘Women Mean Business’ interview by The Recruitment Network.

The Recruitment Industry Disability Initiative’s (RIDI) director Kate Headley produced a blog for HR Zone on the 2018 RIDI Awards. Kate reflected upon a night of celebration for disability confident recruiters and employers and also discussed what the next 12 months holds for the organisation and its partners.

Findings from two Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo) reports appeared in a number of publications. APSCo’s ‘2018 Market Survey’ received a diverse range of coverage from titles including the Global Recruiter and the London School of Business and Finance’s Global Matters, whilst ‘Professional Recruitment: The Beating Heart of the Scottish Economy’ was reported on by Onrec, Employer News and Recruitment International to name but a few. The association’s annual Charity Ball which raised over £21,000 for St Ann’s Hospice was also featured in industry titles Recruitment Buzz and Recruitment International.
