BlueSky PR July 2018 Highlights

As the temperatures continued to rise, the BlueSky PR team managed to power through the hottest July in a decade courtesy of our air-con and the occasional ice cream or two. Here are some of the month’s PR highlights for our clients across the recruitment, HR and talent management sectors.

Data from 6CATS International which revealed a 154% year-on-year increase in demand for contractors in Spain was covered by titles including Staffing Industry Analysts and Recruitment Buzz. We also secured an exclusive feature in Recruiter for the international contractor solutions firm which highlighted six global contracting hotspots, whilst CEO Michelle Reilly outlined the impact that the second phase of the Criminal Finances Act (CFA) 2017 would have on recruitment firms in an article for the Global Recruiter.

The news that Sopra Steria Recruitment was highly commended in the category of Best Large Recruitment Business at the Global Recruiter UK Industry Awards 2018 was picked up by titles including Personnel Today. The firm’s announcement that it had become a partner of the Business Disability Forum (BDF) appeared in publications such as Recruitment Buzz and Onrec. Furthermore, managing director Pete Holliday shared his thoughts on the future of the recruitment supply chain in a guest blog for HR News.

Healthier Recruitment’s co-managing director Michael Johnson-Ellis discussed why NHS trusts should use strategic workforce planning to overcome the challenges of sourcing talent in a thought-piece for Care and Nursing Magazine. Co-managing director Margo Leftly also highlighted the issues of workplace diversity within the NHS for DiversityQ. The firm’s comments welcoming the appointment of Matt Hancock as the new secretary of state for health achieved coverage in several industry titles including Recruitment Buzz and APSCo.

We also secured a number of opportunities for boutique search firm Global Accounting Network. Founding director Adrian O’Connor shared his industry expertise in a Financial Management feature revealing four finance roles which have increased in popularity, an ACCA Global article exploring how accountancy firms can attract Generation Z and an Economia piece looking at the potential tasks that could feature on the to-do list of an incoming financial director.
