2012 – The year of change

I think it’s fair to say that 2012 has certainly been an interesting year! We’ve come together as a nation to celebrate the Golden Jubilee, the world has tuned in to watch the UK successfully host the Olympics and Paralympics, and today we even survived the end of the world…. again.

But one of the biggest developments from this year for me is rather simple; we’ve all started to cheer up a bit! Around this time last year, BlueSky PR MD Tracey Barrett wrote a blog asking everyone to start being a bit more positive, a sentiment the whole team shared.

In the twelve months since that blog post, there has certainly been a positive change in the economy and attitudes in the business landscape. The doom-mongers of old have gone fairly quiet (shifting their focus to todays ‘Armageddon’ no doubt) and many organisations are now discussing the ‘green-shoots’ of recovery.

For the BlueSky PR team, we’ve mirrored this positivity. This year has seen not only some fantastic growth with new clients coming on board, but we’ve also welcomed four new graduates to the squad. On top of this, we’ve been working hard to develop a ground breaking PR measurement tool (all will be revealed in the New Year). And there was even the first ever BlueSky PR wedding!

So in true optimistic fashion, I would like to raise my glass (of coffee) to all the BlueSky clients and friends and wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
